Sterling Bank Plc have stepped in to help Cynthia Morgan bounce back after her disagreement with Northside entertainment boss Jude Okoye.
Here is the scenario behind the misunderstanding.
Here is the scenario behind the misunderstanding.
The CEO of Northside entertainment
in a live interview with Instagram influencer and blogger Tunde Ednut, Jude
Okoye addressed some of the allegations made against him by the dancehall
singer who accused him of “shipwrecking her music career”.
Jude on his part dismissed all the
claims made by the singer, insisting that none of such claims were true.
Cynthia claimed that Jude was not
promoting her, in her words:
“Why are people not asking questions; how come this
girl has been down this so long and not even one colleague came up to her
rescue? Not rescue as in giving her money or sponsoring her. Rescue as in
identifying with her.”
On this Jude said, Cynthia Morgan was not respecting
him and she is stubborn, that she once question his value in her life.
“Cynthia Morgan looked me in the eye and asked me ‘what
the f**k have you done for me?’”
He added that the contract Cynthia Morgan Had
with him (Northside Entertainment) expired in 2017 and that the artist was free
since then. He also stated that he never took her name (Cynthia Morgan) as the
singer as claimed that she doesn’t have access to her social media account.
“I never took that name from her. I don’t have that
power”. "Which law in the world fit make person
stop dey answer name wey him mama and papa give am? I'm going to send you
Cynthia Morgan's contract, it's a five-page document and when you see it, you
can tell me where it says my company owns a right to her name. I didn't even
prepare the contract; it was Cynthia Morgan and he former manager, Joy [Tongo]
who prepared the contract."
He also
revealed in the interview with Pulse.ng that Cynthia owed him the sum of 40
million dollars which he has not recouped; he also explained how the money came
to stand at that amount. (He said, he
shot 13 videos for Morgan with each video worth N3m, bought her the white
Range, gave her money to buy land for her mother. Okoye also says that Morgan played secret shows and kept the money
for herself among other things)
On why
May D left the record label, Okoye said May D left when he offered him a
contract.
May D grievances was that he was not well
treated while he was with the record label, saying that he had to sleep on
carton with the driver at the boys quarters.
Jude said he spent over a hundred
thousand dollars on May D. According to Jude, trouble began after he gave May D
a contract and the singer came back after 2 weeks stating that there were no
incentives in the contract. Jude said May D had demanded a car and an
apartment in Lekki, Lagos despite the fact that the singer was still up-and-coming and
had not done any shows.
Saying that was simply the reason why the "Sound track" crooner left.
